Records management addressed the short-term and long-range needs of the Legal Department

This records management work came as a follow-up to archives related work Winthrop Group completed for UPS the previous year.  This project addressed the short-term and long-range needs of the Legal Department of UPS relative to control and maintenance of, and access to, the records generated and used by the people in the Department.  The work included 1) inventorying all records currently in the Legal Department's filing systems, 2) developing records retention schedules, 3) preparing for and carrying-out a one-time disposal of records, and 4) formulating recommendations for a new system of files organization, for improving access to documentation, and for on-going files management within the Legal Department.
